Instructional content on how to find reels to watch on Instagram

Project Overview

Meta introduced Reels on Instagram to provide users with an engaging platform for creating and sharing short-form video content. To ensure users could easily navigate Reels' features —such as creating, editing, and sharing videos—comprehensive and user-friendly help content was essential.

My Role

  • Authored detailed and engaging content that broke down complex processes about Reels' features, ensuring alignment with Meta’s user support standards.

  • Improved the searchability of help content by optimizing it for Meta’s help centers, making it easier for users to find relevant information quickly.

  • Integrated help content and troubleshooting canned responses across web, mobile, and email to ensure consistent and comprehensive user support

Meta’s help centers aim to create inclusive and user-friendly content. However, early assessments revealed inconsistencies in accessibility for users relying on assistive technology.

My Role

  • Made improvements to color contrast, hyperlink quality, and screen reader accuracy, including adding alternative text to over 3,000 icons.

  • Conducted team training meetings to share updates and best practices with the larger team.
